Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) is delighted to have been awarded £94.4K from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust for this Families Focus project!
This funding will enable us to focus on working with partners, spouses and carers who have lived experience of supporting wounded, injured or sick veterans.
This initiative aims to help these often overlooked carers – to feel less isolated, build resilience and gain valuable knowledge.
Through trauma-informed one-to-one and group sessions, therapeutic conversations and wellbeing activities – we will build on our community connections and collaborate with other services, all guided by the principles of the Triangle of Care.
“We are truly honoured to receive the Family Focus Programme award from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. This support is invaluable to us and the families we serve.
With this funding we can establish a ‘Resilient Together Steering Group’ to co-produce support for carers guided by the principles of the Triangle of Care. Our goal is to stand alongside families who carry the responsibility of caring for loved ones who have served and are now facing health and wellbeing challenges.
Over the next 18 months, we’ll work together to establish safe spaces where they feel less alone, more understood and supported in ways that reflect their lived experience.”
Working together to improve the lives of veterans and their families and carers.
