Veterans Outreach Support VOS Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) is delighted to announce that the Alliance for Better Care (ABC) has been appointed as one of our main partners in delivering the Thrive Together South East, Partnership in Mind programme.
Partnership in Mind, led by Veterans Outreach Support (VOS), is the South East’s regional portfolio across nine counties, under the national umbrella of the Thrive Together programme.
This initiative, funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, aims to create sustainable and connected pathways of care and support for veterans and their families.
With in-depth expertise in local health and wellbeing networks, ABC’s respected connections with GP practices and community organisations will help deliver inclusive and coordinated services for our veteran communities.
Ian Millen, Chief Operating Officer, VOS, said:
“Alliance for Better Care brings extensive expertise in integrated health and wellbeing, with strong links across GP practices and Primary Care Networks.
Their trusted partnership and connections will be key to embedding this programme locally and expanding our regional network for accessible, seamless care where it’s needed most.
Their involvement will strengthen our shared mission to enable to enable a ‘no wrong door’ approach for inclusive, holistic support for veterans and their families across the South East.”
Mark Hannigan, Armed Forces Health Coordinator, Alliance for Better Care, said:
“We regularly meet veterans who are unsure where to turn – whether for housing, health support, or simply someone to listen. While help is available, it can be hard to navigate. That’s why collaboration like this is so important: it helps us join the dots, reduce confusion, and ensure no one feels they’re facing things alone.
By mapping what services and support are available, this partnership will also help healthcare professionals, local authorities, and other public services feel more confident in what they can offer – and in turn, veterans and their families will receive clearer, more tailored support.”
Veterans Outreach Support will work closely with Alliance for Better Care, and other key partners, to ensure that every veteran and family member can access the support they need, wherever they are, and whenever they need it.
