How to use Eventbrite to book VOS event tickets

As you may know, all of our VOS Service User events are now available to book directly through Eventbrite.

It’s a great way for our service users to view all of our active activities and events, see what’s available and book tickets for the events they want to attend. I’m sure you’re going to love it as much as we do.

So, What is Eventbrite?

Eventbrite is an online platform that allows people and organisations to create, promote, and sell tickets for events.  It serves as a place for event organisers to manage ticket sales, event registration, and promotions. Users can browse through different types of events, such as concerts, conferences, festivals, workshops, and more, and book tickets directly through the platform for the event they want to attend.

To help our service users book tickets for our events and workshops with ease, we wanted to produce an easy step-by-step guide on how to use Eventbrite and book tickets – so here it is.

Register/Login –

Before you can start booking tickets for our events, you will need to register with Eventbrite.

To do this, locate the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner of the screen and click on it. This will take you to the account creation page. You will need to fill in the required information to create your account. This includes your first and last name and creating a password for Eventbrite. Once done, click on the red ‘Create account’ button.

Once you click the button a Terms and Conditions box pops up.

Once you have read and understood the terms, click the button indicating that you ‘Agree’ to them.

And that’s it – you did it – you have registered with Eventbrite and now can start looking for and booking tickets for events that take your fancy.

*If you signed up with an email address, Eventbrite may send you a verification email to confirm your account. Check your email inbox, locate the verification email, and follow the instructions.

How to book a ticket –

Visit the Eventbrite Website and Log-In

Open your web browser and go to the Eventbrite website and log in.

You can log in by clicking the ‘Log in’ button at the top right-hand side of the screen.

Search for the Event

Using the search bar at the top of the homepage, enter the name or description of the event you’re interested in attending. Press the Enter key or click the “Search” button to see the results.

*Please note that you won’t be able to find VOS Service User events in the search box as they are private events only visible if you have the links to the VOS events or VOS collection of events.

To view the VOS-only events – please log in to Eventbrite and click here.

On the Veterans Outreach Support page, you will be able to view the VOS events and our monthly collections of events. You can even click the ‘Follow’ button so you can keep up to date with the Eventbrite Veterans Support Outreach page. This will allow you to get notifications of new VOS events and collections when they are available.

If you look at the bottom of the VOS page you will see our monthly event collections.

Here you will see that each month has its own collection of events, so you can click on the month you want to view, scroll through the events and pick one you wish to attend.

Click here to see just our July events collection page.

Select the Event You Want To Attend

Browse through the collections and click on the event you want to attend. This will take you to the event page with more details about your chosen event.

Review Event Details

On the event page, take some time to read through the event description, date, time, location, and any additional information provided.

Make sure the event suits your preferences and requirements.  If the event is already sold out, it will show that tickets are unavailable.

Choose the Ticket Type

If you’re happy with the event, great, it’s time to book your ticket.

Indicate the number of tickets you want to book by adjusting the quantity with the + and – buttons. Once you have the number of tickets added, click on the red ‘Reserve a spot’ button.

Complete the Order Form

Once you click ‘Reserve a spot’ you will get an order form pop up.

Fill out the order form with the required information, including your name, email address, and any other details requested by the event organiser – in our case, it’s your VOS SU Number.

*Make sure to enter accurate information as it will be used for ticket delivery or event communication.

Review the Order and Checkout

Review your order summary to ensure that the event, ticket type, quantity, and personal information are correct. If everything looks good, click on the “Register” or “Checkout’ button.

Confirming Your Ticket

After successfully completing the order form, you will receive a confirmation screen and email indicating that your ticket booking was successful.

Keep the confirmation email for reference, as it may contain important details or instructions for the event.

And that’s it – Congratulations! You have successfully booked a ticket for an event through Eventbrite.

I hope you have found our guide on how to use Eventbrite helpful. We are so excited to be using Eventbrite and can’t wait to see you all at our events soon!
