Attention all! We need your opinions to improve Veterans’ support by guiding the next phase of the Veterans Places, Pathways & People Programme Southeast service (VPPPSE).
This vital Veterans’ service will unite a large network of Veterans’ Support Organisations in a fully joined-up support service that’s ready to help any Veteran at any time.
The best way to improve the community is to make changes it wants – so to help us, all you need do is complete one of two surveys! There’s an anonymous survey for Veterans and another for Veterans’ Support Organisations.
This is your chance have your say and make a real difference!
That’s not all – we’re also hosting two exciting open events where Veterans, their families and carers can learn about and actively participate in shaping VPPPSE:
A live Veterans’ event on 22nd May (with free bacon butties and refreshments!)
An online consultation for Veterans’ Support Organisations on 25 June. Invitations and links to attend will be published closer to the event date!
Why VPPPSE is so important
Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (AFCFT), VPPPSE is committed to helping Veterans easily access any support and resources they need.
VPPPSE will:
Help Veterans find the support they need, and access mental health and wellbeing services and activities that are interesting and relevant to them.
Support Veterans to access services and activities safely, and refer them seamlessly to the NHS or other services.
Improve cross-sector support to Veterans at higher risk of suicide or other risks relating to mental ill health.
Embed effective veteran-led projects in local care pathways, supported by good partnerships.
VPPPSE had over 8,000 interactions with Veterans and supported over 3,000 individuals in its first two years. It was created by Veterans for Veterans – so hearing what matters to YOU is essential for it to improve and succeed.
What are our next steps?
The next phase of VPPPSE is focused on getting partners to work in synergy so that there are no ‘wrong doorways’ to Veterans accessing support: wherever someone enters the system, any partner will know how to efficiently direct that person to the right support and services.
How you can help
Before starting the next phase of VPPPSE, we’re asking Veterans, their families and carers, and our Support Organisations to provide as many ideas as possible so we can ensure more Veterans get exactly the support they need.
YOU can help change the system into something that works better for all by completing our surveys:
And of course, you can get involved in the future of VPPSE at our fun live event for Veterans on 22nd May 2024.
***There will also be an MS Teams consultation for Veterans’ Organisations on 25th June 2024 (links to be published closer to the event date!)
We look forward to receiving your survey feedback, and hope to see you at one of the events! For more about VPPPSE check out our website HERE.
Thank you sincerely in advance!
