If you’ve ever wondered what kind of support our charity provides, what impact it has, or who benefits from the work we do, this summary of 2023 stats is a great resource for you – and testament to our exceptional team, donors and supporters.
“Hope, future, life-changing” – these are just three expressions that describe what our service users get from engaging with Veterans Outreach Support.
It’s a kind of magic, but it’s really a kind of kindness and caring that comes from the dedicated professionals and volunteers that help to get those in need to a better place.
The first of our 2024 newsletters below is a snapshot of a year in the life of VOS – a very special year (2023) when we celebrated 15 years of supporting those who have served in the UK Armed Forces, Merchant Navy and their families.
While we’re proud of every stride VOS makes for the mental health, welfare and wellbeing of our local veteran community, it can be difficult to step back and recognise how much our day-to-day work adds up (and it adds up to quite a lot!). The numbers, pictures and links in the newsletter tell the stories behind the headlines.
If you know someone in need, then please spread the word, helping us to help others.
Without the generous support of our grant-makers and donors, none of this would be possible. If you are someone who would like to support us in the future, or are a business leader looking to make a difference in your corporate social responsibility, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
Thank you all for being a part of the VOS journey.

Veterans Outreach Support - 2023 Year in Review
If you’re a veteran from the UK Armed Forces or the Merchant Navy (from any time of service) or a partner to one, VOS would love for you to join our community. We are here to offer our support: call us on 02392 731 767, visit an upcoming drop-in, or email admin@vosuk.org.
VOS is immensely grateful for the support and funding we receive from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, and for the Reaching and Supporting Armed Forces Communities (RSAFC) Programme that has made our Vectis Veterans project possible.
